I literally woke up this morning to the news that Bush was nominating John Roberts for Chief Justice. Say what? Shouldn't you been on the Supreme Court for a little while before you get to be Chief? He hasn't even been a judge *period* for that long.
God help our country.

Prior service on the supreme court is not a prerequisite for being a chief justice; Both Warren Burger and Earl Warren came to be chief without first serving on the bench. The more urgent question is whether his Fraudulency should be allowed to name anyone to the high court. I say no; let the court dwindle to zero, if necessary, and wait until there is a president who is not either the antichrist or Satan's handmaiden. It is vital that the Democrats refuse to yield on this one.
