Thus Webster defines "wicked". Women have been called wicked, or variations of wicked, throughout time. Some wicked women were accused of witchcraft, others of adultery, and some simply of disrespect, impudence, or brazenness. Some women actually were wicked, in whatever sense of the word that you prefer. Some women were just misunderstood.
My collection Wicked Women portrays wicked women of all bents. Ophelia drowns herself in grief. A high school student cuts class to smoke in the woods. A "brazen hussy" lounges nude. From bona fide witches to salsa dancers, these women touch the entire spectrum of wicked.
